Over my 23 years as a working artist I have done many commissions. My most current commission was for the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Maui. The piece was installed in their grand ball room in 2016. It was a terrific experience! The process of being presented with a concept, creating sketches, collaborating with the client, and creating the work of art for the client was exciting for both parties. It is a wonderful opportunity and it is an honor to be presented with designing and creating a unique sculpture for a home or business.
If you are interested in having a piece commissioned please feel free to contact me. The information I will need from you to start talking about a commission is below.
1. Is there a specific piece, line of work, or are there certain techniques I do you are interested in? I might have the perfect piece for you already made. If not, we can talk about a design.
2. Is there an idea you have but you don’t see it on my website? Please let me know, I love to brainstorm and come up with new ideas.
3. Is there a space you are trying to fill? A picture of that space and the dimensions you envision the piece being are information I will need.
After I have received your information and have a clear idea of what you want I will create a sketch, either in Photoshop or by hand. Samples of materials can be obtained for a fee. When you have approved the final sketch I will ask for a 50% deposit before I begin. One of the fun things about commissioning me is that you will be emailed progress images of your piece. The clients that I have created work for find it exciting to be able to see the progress. When the piece is finished you will be sent a professional photographic image of the work. The final payment plus the packing and shipping charge will need to be paid before the piece is shipped. If you live within driving distance I can deliver the piece and payment can be made when delivered.
If your interested in a commission please feel free to contact me through this link. There is no obligation and I am always happy to have a conversation about your idea.
